The Derek Trucks Band, Soulive, and Lettuce all to appear at Sugarloaf in February

CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine – Sugarloaf will welcome several of the nation’s top live music acts to its main stage throughout the month of February, with the Derek Trucks Band, Soulive, and Lettuce all scheduled to headline the resort’s Bud Light Concert Series.

Derek Trucks will appear with special guest Erik Mongrain on Saturday, Feb 7, and Soulive and Lettuce will headline a show the following weekend, Feb. 14.The Bud Light Concert Series brings nationally know acts to Sugarloaf’s King Pine Room throughout the winter season. 

One of the most critically acclaimed guitarists in the world and the youngest musician to be named to Rolling Stone’s list of the Top Hundred Guitarists of All Time, Derek Trucks and the Derek Trucks Band will appear at Sugarloaf in support of their sixth studio album, Already Free, which was released on Jan 13. The band is renowned throughout the world for its unique mix of jazz, rock, blues, Latin, Eastern Indian, and other world music.

Appearing with the band will be special guest Erik Mongrain, a talented 28-year-old acoustic guitarist from Montreal, Quebec, who has earned comparisons to guitar virtuosos as Stanley Jordan, Don Ross, and the late Michael Hedges.  

Soulive and Lettuce, who will appear live on Feb 14, have steadily earned a reputation as two of the nation’s top live acts. Soulive was formed in 1999 by guitarist Eric Krasno, organist Neal Evans, and drummer Alan Evans, and has gained national attention as one of the country’s top instrumental soul-funk trios.  

Lettuce, a seven person all-star collective, was originally formed in 1992 after its members met at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. The group is known for it’s unique funk style, and is touring in support of its third studio album, RAGE!.  

Both shows will 21-plus only and proper identification is required at the door. Tickets for Derek Trucks will be $40 for platinum seating with cocktail service, $30 for gold seating, and $15 for general admission (standing).  

Tickets for Soulive and Lettuce are general admission only, and are $18 in advance and $22 at the door. Tickets for both shows are on sale now and available at 1-800-THE-LOAF.
