Self-Guided Hike on Burnt Mountain Enjoy sweeping vistas and a little challenge on this popular trip to the summit of Burnt Mountain. To get to the trailhead take the Mountainside Road from the Access Road past the Sports and Fitness Center. You’ll begin climbing up the hill, then take a left on Bigelow Mountain Road. Park your car at the end of the road and the trailhead will be just a few steps away. |

Self-Guided Geocaching We have hidden 12 geocaches in the area to get you out to spots you might not find on your own. GPS units are available at the front desk of the Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel for a small daily fee, or if you have your own GPS, just stop by the front desk to get a list of the coordinates. |

Sunrise Canoe Trip Now is your chance to experience an astonishing Maine Sunrise while floating down the gentle currents of the North Branch of the Dead River. During your 4 mile paddle, you may spot some fascinating wildlife while taking in the amazing scenery around you. Accompanied by Maine Guide Nolan Kilgannon, he will be teaching basic canoe strokes and techniques so no previous experience is required. A hearty breakfast and hot coffee will also be served to you during your trip. All transportation and gear will be provided. Cost is $45.00 per Adult & $39.00 per child (12 & under) which will also includes Breakfast.
Signups are every Monday at 10am in the Double Diamond Restaurant located on the first floor in the Grand Summit Hotel. Our Shuttle Van will leave from Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel parking lot at 6am & the trip takes anywhere from 2 to 4 hours.

Pottery Classes Have fun creating something fabulous with your hands. Join local artisan Karen for this two hour open pottery studio at KC’s Kreativity Center in Carrabassett Valley. Poplar Stream Hike & Lunch Come join Maine Guide Nolan Kilgannon on an adventurous hike through the beautiful Maine Woods. During your 5 mile hike you will be submerged in an amazing wilderness setting with great potential to watch some wildlife in their natural environment. Along the way you will also get the chance to check out two magnificent waterfalls with a total elevation drop of 75ft. After a mellow 2.5 mile hike, we will be stopping at the Poplar Stream Hut for a tasty lunch and stimulating conversation. After lunch you will be taken on a Solar and Hydro Power Energy Tour where you will learn about the Maine Hut’s Self Sustaining Technologies. The cost for this adventure is $35.00 per adult and $29.00 per child (12 & under) which includes an amazing home made lunch. Signups are every Monday at 10am in the Double Diamond Restraint located on the first floor in the Grand Summit Hotel. Our Shuttle Van will leave from Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel parking lot at 9am & the trip takes anywhere from 3 to 6 hours, depending on hiking speed.

Pontoon Boat Tours Local Guide Jeff Hinman will show you the magnificent Flagstaff Lake from the comfort of a pontoon boat. Take-in scenic vistas of the Bigelow Mountain Range, learn the fascinating history of Flagstaff Lake and the lost village of Flagstaff, and spot Bald Eagles and Loons in their natural habitat. Golf Clinics Brush up on your swing with the pros from the Sugarloaf Golf Club during this special clinic for only $15! Students of this renowned program receive instruction from certified professionals, uniquely tailored to each student’s individual strengths and weaknesses. Please pay for Clinic at the Sugarloaf Pro Shop. Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance to avoid charges. Signing up is your agreement to pay. Minimum 3 and maximum 10 guests per clinic.
