Sugarloaf is proud to be a sponsor of Maine Adaptive Sports & Recreation, a free adaptive sports program providing people with physical disabilities the opportunity to alpine and Nordic ski, snowboard and snowshoe in the winter and golf, paddle and cycle in the summer.
Maine Adaptive provides standard and adaptive ski, snowboard, and snowshoe equipment, warm winter clothing when needed and specially trained volunteers to instruct adults and children with physical disabilities, ages 4 and up, so they can become independent skiers and riders. The organization provides free adaptive lessons every weekend at Sugarloaf from early January through early April thanks to the help of dozens of volunteers.
