Daily Update:
Even the harshest of critics have been thrilled with conditions recently and today was a great example of why. Big kudos to our groomers who have been out on the hill nightly turning our snow surfaces into carvable corduroy. The heavy dusting of snow we received overnight and into the morning spruced conditions up across the mountain, promoting long and fast turns on Skidder, Sluice, Gondola Line and Hayburner. Simply put, today was a day to roll the skis on edge and let 'em rip.
Tomorrow looks like a fabulous day to hit the slopes. Morning flurries will give way to mostly sunny skies and balmy temps of 26-30 at the base and 18-22 at the summit. Conditions are primarily machine groomed packed powder and loose granular. We'll have 102 open trails and glades, 60 of them groomed. As always, be sure to check the Trails and Lifts page or follow us on Twitter for further updates. All eyes are currently on a storm system that could hit us on Wednesday. Some forecasts are calling for up to a foot of snow while others aren't as optimistic. We'll keep you updated as we get closer.
Good news: Norton has been working on the SuperPipe and if all goes to plan, it will be open to the public later this week. Sweet!
Looking ahead, we've got more fun events coming up soon; Rick Charette on the 13th and Bob Marley on the 17th and 18th. For more information, check out the events calendar.
Check out the newest Snow Reporter Blog and Video recapping this full-out first week of February! From the FIS Race Series to the Special Olympics, we definitely had a great start to the month. Also be sure to head over to the Terrain Park Page for updates on new features in the parks.
Think snow.

Outdoor Center Update
Congratulations to all the Special Olympians who just completed two days of cross-country skiing and skating competition at the Outdoor Center! They brought tremendous enthusiasm and had amazing results. Thank you to all the Olympians and volunteers for an inspiring Olympic Games.
Our next event is the Maine Huts & Trails 20 & 40 Kilometer Marathon on Sunday, February 14. Go to www.mainehuts.org for race and registration information.
Our cross country ski trails are in very good shape, with machine loosened packed powder and hard pack conditions. Our ice rink is in good condition and open for public skating and hockey on our regular schedule. We are grooming the trails every day and with each pass of the snowcat the conditions are improving. We have skiing on 65 kilometers of trails and a great variety of snowshoe trails. Our awesome staff of Nordic ski instructors provide a variety of skate and classic lesson packages. The Bull Moose Café is open everyday, 10-2, serving delicious soups and sandwiches for lunch. Join us for fun at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center!
