The White Panda
Possibly the biggest mashup act in America, the White Panda formed when two boyhood friends discovered they had independently embarked on mashup careers in college. Chicago-based Procrast (Tom Evans) first blended Rick Astley snippets with 2 Live Crew grooves as a way to avoid productive activity in 2008, while DJ Griffi (Dan Griffith) embarked on the same mission, for a similar purpose, in Los Angeles. Their combined effort, the White Panda, launched in 2009 with a single that topped internet radio charts days later. They've since had 27 singles reach #1 on Hype Machine.
The White Panda will be the headlining act on the final night of College Snowfest Week. This is a show not to be missed.
Aer, from Wayland, MA, is trending hard (to say it lightly). David von Mering and Carter Schultz started with mixtapes that landed them on the #1 spot on iTunes hip-hop charts. They quickly released a debut album called The Bright Side which rose to #1 on the iTunes Album charts and earned a spot in the Billboard Hot 100. Their tour has spanned 48 cities in North America and will land them at Sugarloaf on Wednesday, January 7, 2014 for College Snowfest.
Simply put - Jesse Marco is one of America's biggest DJs. He's throwing down dance and hip-hop sets at the biggest clubs in America and around the world. From college tours to festival to clubs, Jesse is one of the most sought-after party DJs anywhere.
Jesse will bring the house down at College Snowfest week on Tuesday, January 6, 2014.
Keys N Krates
Keys N Krates are bringing a show unlike anything ever seen at Sugarloaf. Turntables, keyboard and drums do a live remix before your eyes (and ears). Hailing from Toronto, our northern friends will descend on The 'Loaf to drop remixes with Trap music flavor. Get ready to dance and groove, because Keys N Krates are opening College Snowfest with a boom of bass on Monday, January 5, 2014
Spose & Cam Groves
Hands down, Spose is Maine hip-hop. He has travelled coast to coast with his own style, rocking shows east, west, north and south. Hailing from Wells, Maine, Spose and his buddy on the mic, Cam Groves, lit up the King Pine Room last winter. This year, see them warm up the crowd prior to Aer.
Nugget is the go-to DJ in the Pittsburgh club scene. He is tight with the beat juggle and known to reliably get the dance floor moving. You'll catch DJ Nugget in both the King Pine Room and the Widowmaker Lounge.
Renegade Sound Station
Renegade is well-known at Sugarloaf. They've keep the dancefloor packed during the annual Reggae Rave in April. This year, Renegade is dropping their own mix of reggae dance music in both the King Pine Room and Widowmaker Lounge.
Soul Rebel Project
Reggae lovers will get a chance to see Soul Rebel Project on the final night of Reggae Fest in the Widowmaker Lounge. This Boston-based reggae act will be sure to please.
