Early Bird Registration through September 1st at 5:00 pm: $40.00
Registration September 1st at 5:00 pm - October 6th at 5:00 pm: $55.00
Day of Registration (If available): $60.00
Registered runners MUST pickup their bibs from 8:00 am - 10:00 am on the Beach.
Day-of registrants (if available) will be accepted during the registration period, until the race reaches capacity.
The race starts at 11:00 am sharp.

Bag Transport will be located at the Super Quad 10:30 am - 10:55 am (leaves at 10:55 am SHARP). All items must be in a bag and will be transported to the top of the course. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Uphill Climb Race Start at Super Quad 11:00 am.
Course Cut Off Time On-Course 1:00 pm
Please note that the cut-off time to complete the race is 1:00 pm. Racers are encouraged to finish after that, but race times will not be recorded after 1:00 pm. Results need to be prepared for the awards ceremony at Bullwinkle's.

The annual Uphill Climb is back in 2017. Just like our founders, Amos Winter and the Bigelow Boys, you'll be trudging up the mountain with your hands, legs and heart. This is no cake walk. You'll run from the base of Sugarloaf to the summit (about 2400 vertical feet). You'll sweat. You'll gasp for breathe. And in the end, you'll have tackled the the toughest mountain run in Maine.
This race will occur rain or shine, please dress appropriately and bring plenty of extra layers for the summit. A racer bag transport vehicle will be provided to take all racers belongings from the start line to the summit finish line. The bag transport vehicle will leave the start line 5 minutes before the race begins. After your trek to the top, you'll descend halfway down the mountain to Bullwinkle's where lunch and the awards ceremony will take place. Transportation down to the base area after the race is the sole responsibility of all participants and spectators. Vehicle transport will only be provided for any injured or medically un-fit athletes. No racers will be allowed on-course who have not registered, received a bib or signed a liability release.
Spectators are welcome to walk-up the course or ride the lift to spectate at any point along the race course. Scenic lift rides will be available for free to all during Homecoming weekend from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, both Sat, Oct 7th and Sun, Oct 8th. Spectators are also invited to join us for the awards ceremony at Bullwinkle's at approximately 1:00 pm, but food and beverage will be reserved for racers only (they have done all the hard work).
Inspiration for the races comes from the rugged men and women who called this place home - loggers, Amos Winter, Bigelow Boys and mountain men. All participants will receive a complimentary lunch at Bullwinkle's immediately following the race. Microbrew beer will also be complimentary to all racers who are 21+ years old.
