2017 Nordic Inferno Race

(we have an inside connection with Mother Nature and she assures us that next sunday morning will be warm and the snow will be soft)

Our annual Nordic downhill race will be held this Sunday, March 5 with racers going off at 10 AM from the bottom of the king pine chairlift and making their way all the way down to the Nordic lodge.

We ask that all participants gather at the Sugarloaf outdoor center lodge by 8:30AM to complete registration, pick up their bib and ticket. From there we will load the shuttle buses and head to the Whiffletree chairlift for our upload in preparation for the 10 AM start at the bottom of the Tohaul trail where racers will go down Crosshall to stubs Glade trail and then enter Nordic trail 21 to trail 6 to 1 West and finish in the stadium.

The entry fee is $25 and includes a trail pass for the day as well as a commemorative piece of apparel. You may pre-register by coming into the Nordic lodge or emailing

Helmets are not required but are strongly encouraged for participants of all ages. Costumes are strongly encouraged and may earn prizes.

2017 Maine Huts & Trails 20k/40k/60k Marathon - scheduled for March 12, 2017

New England Series Sugarloaf Freestyle 50k & 25k Marathon - scheduled for March 18, 2017

The Rossignol Crew will be here with next year's product for you to try out.  They have some big changes in store that will be exciting to see and test out.

Amos, Pierre and Blueberry arrive shortly after 5pm to visit with the children until buffet dinner service starts serving at 5:45 and Storytime commences at 6:15pm.
