Outside Service Attendants will have to pick golf bags up to 40 pounds and walk/run up and down hills so conditioning is necessary. Morning shifts start as early at 5:30 AM and closing shifts are dependent on when last golf cart is off the golf course.

Assistant Golf Professional

Sugarloaf Golf Club is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional. Sugarloaf Golf Club is located at Sugarloaf Mountain Resort in Carrabassett Valley, Maine. Due to a short golf season, Sugarloaf averages 12,000 rounds over the five month season with a membership of 100 members.

Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
1. Oversee daily operations
2. Golf shop merchandising and tee time management
3. Tournament operations for both members and outside events
4. Assist Head Professional in teaching programs
5. Maintain high customer service standards

Daily job duties entail:
Assist with point of sales transactions and tee sheet management. This includes checking-in members and guests, booking tee times, and settling any discrepancies in payments.
Assist with all tournament operations and weekly member events. Sugarloaf Golf Club has a busy tournament schedule throughout the season. In 2017, Sugarloaf Golf Club will host State of Maine Championship, AJGA Coca-Cola Championship, MSGA and WMSGA events, and 10 outside tournaments. Weekly member events include Men's 18 and 9 Hole League, Ladies League, Twilight League, and Ladies Nine Wine and Rules. Tournament operations responsibilities include pre-tournament planning, using tournament software to set up event, course set-up, coordinating with outside staff for tournament set-up, correct billing of event charges, and post tournament follow-up.
Review and maintain inventory levels, manage GHIN Handicap Program, assist Course Ambassadors in managing pace of play, and assist Outside Service staff in maintaining excellent customer service.
Play with members and guests in member events, tournaments, and daily play.
Assist with Nike Junior Golf Camps, Alden MacDonald Junior Program, member clinics, and all other instructional opportunities offered.

Lift Mechanic Technician

Maintain, repair and assist in the operation of chairlifts by completing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions and performing training to operators. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employee's job is to get and keep guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Ensures proper operation of chairlifts and personnel by completing preventative maintenance of APU's, electric motors and line gear following manufacturers' maintenance manuals; troubleshooting malfunctions and training personnel in the proper operation. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; and checking for overheating. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using come-a-longs, cranes, heavy equipment, rigging, hand and power tools; examining and diagnosing cause of failure and correcting the condition. Maintains equipment, parts and supplies inventory and conserves resources by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipate equipment, parts and supplies and using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Prepares operational and maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information. Maintains technical knowledge and continuity.

Assist guests in getting on and off of chair lifts by operating ski lifts including inspection and testing before opening. Maintain corrals, ramps and work areas by shoveling and raking snow.
