Accounting

Purchasing/Inventory Clerk

Seasonal Inventory/Purchasing Clerk - as an assistant to the Purchasing/Inventory Control Manager.  Candidate must have the following abilities; dependability, attention to detail, good communication and be flexible in their schedule.  Previous experience with Excel and inventory management would be good, but we are willing to train the right candidate.  


Cashroom Clerk

Full Time Seasonal

Cashroom Clerk is responsible for verifying cash deposits, reconciling sales reports, balancing cash sheets, preparing various daily reports ang logs, maintaining accurate inventories, data entry and supplying salespoints with change.  Candidates must have good math skills, an understanding of bookkeeping/accounting principles and methods, a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a High School graduate with two years of relevant experience


Building Maintenance & Grounds Keeping

Building Maintenance Tech

Full Time Year Round

Must have the ability to determine extent of repair and make necessary repairs for the following:  (where state codes do not dictate license) Appliances, Plumbing systems, Electrical systems, Heating systems, General furnishings, Internal and External structural damage and responsible for company and departmental policies, procedures and record keeping. 

Also, material ordering, inventory and control for wood shop projects and /or building maintenance woodworking projects.  Must have the ability to determine materials needed for carpentry projects, coordinate help if need be, build (to meet BOCA and OSHA requirements) and clean up the job.  Ability to be able to lift at least 75 pounds.

Snow removal from our Condominium Associations. Must possess a valid driver's license and have equipment operating experience.


Snow Removal

Part Time Seasonal

Shovel snow for condominium associations managed by Sugarloaf.  Maintain paths and decks, spread sand as needed.  Must be physically fit, able to lift up to 50 lbs. and shovel for extended hours.  Drivers license helpful but not required.

Responsible for leading a team of room attendants.  Participate in training, interviewing, hiring, firing and daily paperwork.  Job duties also include:  stripping linens and trash from rooms, making beds, vacuuming and dusting, washing windows and walls, cleaning and setting up bathrooms and kitchens and fireplaces, and distributing resort info into rooms.  Other duties include assisting in the laundry and Hotel and Inn housekeeping.  Must be a team player, safety conscience, have good guest service skills and be able to lift up to 30lbs.  Requires travel by van and by foot through winter conditions.  Cleaning experience is preferred, but we will train. Hourly rate plus tips and incentive.

Positions begins in Mid-December, Monday thru Sunday shifts.


Hotel Houseperson

The job includes all aspects of keeping the hotel clean including room attendant, janitorial and laundry attendant duties. Must be able to do very physical work including being able to lift 30 lbs, push heavy carts, repetitive tugging, pulling, pushing, lifting and standing. Must work weekends and holidays. This job pays minimum wages plus incentive.


Base Services Janitor

To perform routine custodial duties i.e., vacuuming, general cleaning, bathroom cleaning, trash and litter removal, dusting.  Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the setup of all conferences and events, perform minor repairs to equipment and structure as well as assist with any task(s) related to the upkeep of facilities and the safety of our guests. Candidate must be willing to work a variety of shifts and hours and the position requires some lifting.

Must be able to lift at least 30lbs and do physical work. Must work weekends, holidays, and nights. This is a second shift position. Job pays minimum wage plus incentive.

Marketing Sales & Service

Group Sales Resentative

                  

Group Service Representatives: Full-time winter seasonal. Group Service Representatives will communicate with group leaders to organize all facets of a group's trip to Sugarloaf and interact with on-mountain departments to coordinate the group's stay including food and beverage, tickets, lodging, Perfect Turn etc. This position is an excellent introduction to all aspects of the Sugarloaf Resort. A flexible schedule is required, including Fridays and weekends as well as some late nights and some early mornings.

Qualifications: Strong communication skills, detail orientated, good organization, proficient on the phone and computer, proficient problem solving, self-motivated and hard working. College Degree isn't required but is a plus!

Position begins in Mid-November.

                                


Mountain Operations

Snowmaking Foreman

Snowmaking Foreman:  Full time extended season.  Run a snowmaking crew, charge lines, set up trails, do maintenance on the system, keep the crew motivated.  Provide a high quality snow surface, work with other departments, keep safety on the top of the list.  Must have at least two years experience in snowmaking.


Race Administrator

Full Time Seasonal

Schedule varies according to events.  Will be responsible for race entries and results for competitions, secretarial duties and working with large groups of volunteers.  Must have good computer and people skills and be available to work flexible hours.  Knowledge of ski racing a plus.  Skiing not necessary, will start approximately in the beginning of December


Lift Operator

Full and Part Time Seasonal

Must be able to work outdoors during the winter in varying weather conditions.  Successful candidates must enjoy working with the public and be able to develop good working relationships with co-workers and employees from other departments.  Skiing/snowboarding ability is not required, but is a plus.  High school diploma or GED preferred.  Must be capable of delivering superior guest service!


Shuttle Bus Drivers

Full and Part Time Seasonal

Provide day and night operation of shuttle service. Park cars and drive 10-30 passenger capacity buses. Provide mountain information to resort Guests. Work as part of a team to provide transportation and information. Must have a CDL and a safe driving record and ability to drive in adverse conditions. Good communication skills are a must. Must be at least 18 years old.


Parking Attendant

Full and Part Time Seasonal

Primary responsibilities of this position are to direct guest to park in a safe and efficient manner. Greet guests, answer questions regarding Sugarloaf and its surrounding area, and help load/unload gear, skis and luggage to cars/shuttles.


Competition and Event Crew

Full Time Seasonal

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting with course/event setting and preparation, transporting equipment, setting fences, and support in running all events. Ability to ski/ride all types of terrain is a must. Experience in course setting is a plus in this position, but will train qualified candidates.


Snowmakers

Full Time Seasonal

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to; operating snow making equipment on mountainous terrain in all types of weather including set up, start up, operation of and shut down of snow making equipment, checking snow gun functioning capacity and monitoring snow quality. Must be able to work flexible schedule including day and night shifts, weekends and holidays, and be able to negotiate all types of terrain while maneuvering snow making equipment. You must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions. All shifts available with an anticipated start date in early November.
Qualified applicant must be at least 18 years old and able to lift, bend, kneel and carry a minimum of 40 lbs.


Perfect Turn

Perfect Turn Children's Program Cook/Inside Helper

Full and Part Time Seasonal

Oversee the operation of the indoor facility, keep it organized and efficient. Assistant Ski Pros, and Supervisors and ensure that guests needs are being met. Manage the inside areas and see to the children's needs, and assume responsibility for indoor acitivities. Prepare lunch daily, and assist in other duties assigned by the Supervisor.


Children's Center Ticket Seller

Full and Part Time Seasonal

Selling and checking in of children's program participants. Job entails working with children, computer ticket sales, and direct hands-on customer service with participants and their families. Computer skills are preferred.


Ski and Snowboard Coaches

Full Time Seasonal

Candidates  must have good communication skills and a passion for the sport of skiing and snowboarding with a strong desire to teach it to others. Full time is 5-6 days a week. Open jobs are working with children only.

Guest Services Representative

Full and Part Time Seasonal

This is a front line guest service position whose duties include selling season passes, lift tickets, event tickets and various specialty items. This position offers direct guest contact assisting customers with concerns or questions about all mountain operations. We are looking for cheerful, outgoing individuals with excellent computer skills. Communication and problem solving abilities are required. The successful candidates will be a team player, anxious to help others including fellow Sugarloaf employees. 32-40 hours per week. Must work weekends and holidays.
