Cashroom Clerk

Full Time Seasonal

Cashroom Clerk is responsible for verifying cash deposits, reconciling sales reports, balancing cash sheets, preparing various daily reports ang logs, maintaining accurate inventories, data entry and supplying salespoints with change.  Candidates must have good math skills, an understanding of bookkeeping/accounting principles and methods, a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a High School graduate with two years of relevant experience

Part Time Seasonal

Portray Sugarloaf mascot (costume character) as outlined on snow (skiing or riding), base area walk-arounds, and at special events. Appreciation and understanding of children and families, flexibility in scheduling, outgoing and fun attitude, upper intermediate to expert level skiing or riding ability required

Child Care Provider

Full and Part Time Seasonal

Meeting the psychological and physical needs of children in our care; age range of 10 weeks to six years in age specific groupings. Experience working in an organized child care center or background in Early Childhood Education preferred, minimum of HS diploma required. Must meet Maine State Dept. of Human Services licensing requirements including attending training classes and successfully complete CPR, 1st aid certification.

Hotel Houseperson

Full Time Year Round

The job includes all aspects of keeping the hotel clean including room attendant, janitorial and laundry attendant duties. Must be able to do very physical work including being able to lift 30 lbs, push heavy carts, repetitive tugging, pulling, pushing, lifting and standing. Must work weekends and holidays. This job pays minimum wages plus incentive.

Janitor at Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel

Full Time Year Round

Duties include cleaning the lobby, restrooms and all public areas of the hotel. Additional duties include stocking closets, vacuuming, assisting housekeepers and laundry. Must be able to lift at least 30lbs and do physical work. Must work weekends, holidays, and nights. This is a second shift position. Job pays minimum wage plus incentive.

Marketing Sales & Service

Resort Sales Representative

Full Time Seasonal

Work in Sugarloaf's call center selling lodging packages and various resort amenities. Detailed position with phone, sales, computer/typing and email skills required. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word needed. Must be able to multi-task and like working with people. Required to sit for long periods of time and work in busy call center. Sales incentives, prize incentives and resort benefits offered.

Snow Reporter

Full Time, Seasonal

The Snow Reporter is responsible for skiing every single day and creating and delivering daily reports of mountain conditions to Sugarloafers around the world through the Sugarloaf website and social media channels. This position will work with the marketing staff to create high-quality content for Sugarloaf's social media channels, assist in the management of Sugarloaf's social media assets, and assist the Communications Manager with various tasks as required. Basically, this is the greatest job on earth.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, creative, outgoing, have excellent written and oral communications skills, and will have a passion for creating radical, face-melting content. Previous journalistic, public relations or marketing experience, as well as a familiarity with Sugarloaf, is preferred but not required. Candidates should be prepared to provide writing samples or clips of published work that will knock our socks off. Candidates must be able to comfortably ski or ride anywhere on the mountain, including expert-level terrain.

Mountain Operations

Snow Controller

Full Time Seasonal


Snow Controller: Looking for a person to run and operate pumps and compressors in the snowmaking Department. Must have knowledge of running pumps and compressors. Good communicator. Be able to maximize efficiency, run necessary components according to temperature. Monitor water and air flows; turn compressors and pumps on and off accordingly. Report to the snowmaking manager and keep in contact with snowmakers about equipment running on the mountain. Need to be able to run computer program for water pumps, compressors, maintenance logs. Apply pertinent information from computer to the snowmaking operation.

Fleet Mechanic

Full Time Seasonal


Sugarloaf is seeking a vehicle maintenance mechanic for service and repair on our fleet of 20+ shuttle buses. Applicant must have prior light and medium truck experience with strong electrical and mechanical skills. 40 hour work week.

Race Administrator

Full Time Seasonal

Schedule varies according to events.  Will be responsible for race entries and results for competitions, secretarial duties and working with large groups of volunteers.  Must have good computer and people skills and be available to work flexible hours.  Knowledge of ski racing a plus.  Skiing not necessary, will start approximately in the beginning of December

Snow Surfaces Assistant

Part Time Seasonal--Thursday, Friday and Saturdays ONLY

Purpose of this position is to provide clerical support for the Snowmaking, Terrain Park and Grooming Departments.  Duties will include record keeping, data entry, and tracking of snow production, answering phones, using hand held radios, filing, and monitoring the snow operations computers at times.  Candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills and possess strong computer skills (preferably Microsoft Office).  

Competition and Event Crew

Full Time Seasonal

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting with course/event setting and preparation, transporting equipment, setting fences, and support in running all events. Ability to ski/ride all types of terrain is a must. Experience in course setting is a plus in this position, but will train qualified candidates.


Full Time Seasonal

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to; operating snow making equipment on mountainous terrain in all types of weather including set up, start up, operation of and shut down of snow making equipment, checking snow gun functioning capacity and monitoring snow quality. Must be able to work flexible schedule including day and night shifts, weekends and holidays, and be able to negotiate all types of terrain while maneuvering snow making equipment. You must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions. All shifts available with an anticipated start date in early November.
Qualified applicant must be at least 18 years old and able to lift, bend, kneel and carry a minimum of 40 lbs.

Perfect Turn Office Assistant

Attend to customers needs, make reservations on computer, sell tickets and programs, answer phones and assists Director and Supervisors in day-to-day operations.Knowledge of skiing and snowboarding important. Must have computer skills. Requires working weekends and school vacation weeks

Children's Center Ticket Seller

Full and Part Time Seasonal

Selling and checking in of children's program participants. Job entails working with children, computer ticket sales, and direct hands-on customer service with participants and their families. Computer skills are preferred.

Ski and Snowboard Coaches

Full Time Seasonal

Candidates  must have good communication skills and a passion for the sport of skiing and snowboarding with a strong desire to teach it to others. Full time is 5-6 days a week. Open jobs are working with children only.

Guest Services Representative

Full and Part Time Seasonal

This is a front line guest service position whose duties include selling season passes, lift tickets, event tickets and various specialty items. This position offers direct guest contact assisting customers with concerns or questions about all mountain operations. We are looking for cheerful, outgoing individuals with excellent computer skills. Communication and problem solving abilities are required. The successful candidates will be a team player, anxious to help others including fellow Sugarloaf employees. 32-40 hours per week. Must work weekends and holidays.
