CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine - For the fourth consecutive year, The Bank of Maine has teamed up with Sugarloaf and Sunday River, Maine's two largest ski resorts, to offer Maine residents discounted lift tickets, rentals, and ski school packages during "Maine Ski Day" on Sunday, December 14, 2014.

All Mainers, with proof of residency, are eligible for deep discounts at either resort; including $29 lifts tickets, $20 ski or snowboard rentals, and $39 Learn-to-Ski or Snowboard packages from the Perfect Turn Ski and Ride School at Sugarloaf or $29 Learn-to-Ski or Snowboard packages at Sunday River.

"At The Bank of Maine, we know the value of a healthy and active lifestyle," said John Everets, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for The Bank of Maine. "Skiing is a great way to stay active and bring the family together in the wintertime. As Maine's bank, we are delighted to be able to partner with two great ski mountains to kick-off the ski season. This partnership demonstrates our commitment to the citizens of Maine, just as we have done for nearly 180 years."

As one of Maine's largest banks, The Bank of Maine features 33 branches and 43 ATM sites throughout the state. Founded in 1834, the bank and its charitable foundations have returned over $25 million to Maine communities through contributions and grants.

"Over the years, we've developed a great partnership with The Bank of Maine, and we're very excited to be working with them again this year to offer Mainers the opportunity to experience two of the East's premier ski resorts," said Ethan Austin, Sugarloaf's Director of Marketing. "With these savings on tickets, rentals, and clinics, this program offers all Mainers a chance to get on the snow, whether they are first timers or lifelong skiers."

As Maine's two largest ski areas, Sugarloaf and Sunday River offer a combined total of 296 trails, 2,100 skiable acres, 30 lifts, and nine terrain parks, as well as a full calendar of events throughout the winter season.
