Sugarloaf announces return of popular “Kids Ski Free” promotion
CARRABASSETT VALLEY, ME - Following tremendous success in its first year, the "Kids Ski Free" promotion at Sugarloaf will return for the 14-15 ski season, the resort announced today.
The promotion provides complimentary lift tickets for children ages 12-and-under with any ski and stay package of two or more nights, if it is booked by October 31.
"The future of skiing and snowboarding depends on families who introduce their children to the sport at an early age." Sugarloaf's Director of Perfect Turn, Tom Butler, said. "It's heartwarming to see so many little "Loafers" out on the slopes in the winter."
More than 1700 families took advantage of the program last year, including 820 families who hadn't vacationed at Sugarloaf previously. In total, more than 3000 children received free lift tickets through the promotion last winter.
"We found this program to be a huge hit with families last winter" Sugarloaf Director of Sales Leah Stevens said. "We know it's not always easy to plan trips with little ones, and this promotion simply eliminates one of the hurdles families have to jump over."
Families will also have the opportunity to save even further on their lodging packages if they book by September 30, the deadline for Sugarloaf's popular "Low Price Guarantee." The Low Price Guarantee ensures that vacationers receive the guaranteed lowest prices of the season on their ski and stay packages. If prices on identical packages should happen to drop later in the season, Sugarloaf will pay the difference.
While packages must be booked by October 31 to qualify for complimentary children's lift tickets, the Kids Ski Free offer does not exclude any dates, meaning families can receive complimentary lift tickets for their children during the most popular timeslots, including Christmas week and February vacation.
