“Maine Ski Day” Tradition to continue at Sugarloaf

CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine - Sugarloaf and Sunday River, Maine's two largest ski resorts, will continue the popular "Maine Ski Day" tradition, which started more than five years ago. The two resorts will once again offer Maine residents discounted lift tickets, rentals, and learn-to-ski packages during Maine Ski Day, on Sunday, December 13, 2015.

All Mainers, with proof of residency, are eligible for deep discounts at either resort; including $39 lifts tickets, $20 ski or snowboard rentals, and $39 first-time Learn-to-Ski or Ride packages from the Perfect Turn Ski and Snowboard School.

"Over the years, Mainer's have come to look forward to this unique tradition, and we're very excited to be able to offer them the opportunity to experience two of the East's premier ski resorts again this season," said Ethan Austin, Sugarloaf's Director of Marketing. "With deep savings on tickets, rentals, and clinics, this special promotion offers all Mainers an affordable chance to get out on the snow, whether they are first timers or lifelong skiers."

As Maine's two largest ski areas, Sugarloaf and Sunday River offer a combined total of 297 trails, 2,100 skiable acres, 29 lifts, and nine terrain parks, as well as a full calendar of events throughout the winter season.
