CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine - More than 200 skiers and snowboarders clad in New England Patriots gear took to the slopes at Sugarloaf for a celebratory "Go Pats" run this morning.
Skiers and riders who showed up in Patriots gear were able to purchase a $51 lift ticket on Super Bowl Sunday, and had the opportunity to earn a voucher for another day by participating in the group run.
"We did a celebratory run back in 2015, and we all know how that Super Bowl turned out," Ethan Austin, Sugarloaf Director of Marketing said. "We wouldn't be doing our job if we didn't repeat it this year."
Pats fans who spent the pre-game period on the slopes were treated to exceptional conditions, with more than 1000 acres of open terrain, including Sugarloaf's legendary Snowfields.
Patriots fans who stick around for the Super Bowl can enjoy parties at the Widowmaker Lounge, Gepetto's, and the Shipyard Brew Haus.
