Ski and Snowboard Coaches
Full and Part Time Seasonal
Candidates must have good communication skills and a passion for the sport of skiing and snowboarding with a strong desire to teach it to others. Part time employment is 45 day commitment and full time is 5-6 days a week.
Children's Center Ticket SellerFull & Part –time, seasonal
Selling and checking in of children’s program participants. Job entails working with children, computer ticket sales, and direct hands-on customer service with participants and their families. Computer skills are preferred. Hours are full time, 8-3:30, part time, 7:30-11:30 (Sat & Sun).
Janitor at Sugarloaf Sports and Fitness ClubFull-time seasonal, Candidate is responsible for the daily cleaning of the facility. Sanitize locker rooms, vacuum & mop floors, wash windows, etc. Also responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance of the pool and hot tubs. Individual must be able to work nights and holidays. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. This is a great job for someone interested in snowboarding/skiing by day and working by night.

Full Time Seasonal
Duties include cleaning the lobby, restrooms and all public areas of the hotel. Additional duties include stocking closets, vacuuming, assisting housekeepers and cleaning the health club. Must be able to lift at least 30lbs and do physical work. Must work weekends, holidays, and nights.
Front Desk Attendant at Sugarloaf Sports and Fitness
Full-time, seasonal, Full time position as front desk attendant. Responsible for general front desk duties, i.e answering phones, booking appointments, checking in guests, removing towels from locker rooms, etc. Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. Must make people feel welcome, be a team player and take pride in the job. Requires some days, some nights and some weekends.
Child Care Provider
Full and Part Time Seasonal Meeting the psychological and physical needs of children in our care; age range of 10 weeks to six years in age specific groupings. Experience working in an organized child care center or background in Early Childhood Education preferred, minimum of HS diploma required. Must meet Maine State Dept. of Human Services licensing requirements including attending training classes and successfully complete CPR, 1st aid certification.
Part Time Seasonal Portray Sugarloaf mascot (costume character) as outlined on snow (skiing or riding), base area walk-arounds, and at special events. Appreciation and understanding of children and families, flexibility in scheduling, outgoing and fun attitude, upper intermediate to expert level skiing or riding ability required.
Children's Activities Counselor
Part Time Seasonal Help to plan and deliver evening activity programs for ages 4-12; assist with special family events. Applicants need to appreciate and understand children ages 4-12 and family dynamics. High School Diploma required, related college course work and experience in an organized children's program desired.
Guest Services Representative
This is a front line guest service position whose duties include selling season passes, lift tickets, event tickets and various specialty items. This position offers direct guest contact assisting customers with concerns or questions about all mountain operations. We are looking for a cheerful, outgoing individual with excellent computer skills. Communication and problem solving abilities are required. The successful candidate will be a team player, anxious to help others including fellow Sugarloaf employees. 32-40 hours per week. Must work weekends and holidays.
Outdoor Center Manager
Scope of Position:
Manager of facilities and operations at the Sugarloaf Nordic Outdoor Center.
The Sugarloaf Outdoor Center is a premier Nordic center with 100 Kilometers of groomed trails. The Outdoor Center offers skating, snowshoeing, equipment rentals, repairs, retail goods, and has a small food and beverage operation. The Outdoor Center hosts a wide variety of events and races.
This is a Town of Carrabassett Valley owned facility that is operated in the winter months by Sugarloaf. The manager is responsible for working with the town officials to positively promote the center.
Position is a full time seasonal job with seasonal benefits approximately from November into April.
The candidate must be a Nordic enthusiast who can demonstrate technical skills and knowledge in cross country skiing. The ability to organize and run Nordic events is required. The candidate must have strong management, interpersonal, computer, and organizational skills. The manager will be managing staff and the outside operations of the facility along with interacting with town representatives and the public. Experience in marketing, retail sales, and customer service is a must.
Part Time Snow Reporter
Part Time, Seasonal
This position will man the Snow Reporter desk two days a week. The Snow Reporter is responsible for skiing every day and creating and delivering daily reports of mountain conditions to Sugarloafers around the world through the Sugarloaf website and social media channels. This position will work with the Communications Manager and video production staff to create high-quality content for Sugarloaf’s social media channels, and will assist in the management of Sugarloaf’s social media assets.
Candidates must be reliable, have excellent written and oral communications skills, and must be able to comfortably ski or ride anywhere on the mountain.
Resort Sales Representative
Work in Sugarloaf's call center selling lodging packages and various resort amenities. Detailed position with phone, sales, computer/typing and email skills required. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word needed. Must be able to multi-task and like working with people. Required to sit for long periods of time and work in busy call center. Sales incentives, prize incentives and resort benefits offered.
Events and Merchandising Coordinator
The Event & Merchandising Coordinator plays a key role in the Sales & Marketing Department. This person will plan, organize and execute events at Sugarloaf. This coordinator will also be repsonsible for on-mountain marketing and the overall merchandising of profit centers around the resort. The Event & Merchandising Coordinator is the authority of what is happening on the mountain and needs to be an internal advocate for the financial success of departments across Sugarloaf. The position requires a flexible work schedule. Work on early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays are common, and work weeks of 60+ hours do occur during the winter season. The ideal candidate will have great interpersonal skills, have the ability to multitask and carry themselves with contagious enthusiasm. Computer skills with Windows applications are required, and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications is a plus.
This position pays hourly and is based on 40 weeks of employment annually. A candidate who shows success in this position may have the opportunity to stay with the company on a 50-week annual schedule based on business levels.
Snow Reporter / Communications Assistant

The Communications Assistant/Snow Reporter is responsible for skiing every single day and creating and delivering daily reports of mountain conditions to Sugarloafers around the world through the Sugarloaf website and social media channels. This position will work with the Communications Manager and video production staff to create high-quality content for Sugarloaf’s social media channels, assist in the management of Sugarloaf’s social media assets, and assist the Communications Manager with various tasks such as drafting press releases, hosting media members, and coordinating photo and video shoots. Basically, this is the greatest job on earth.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, creative, outgoing, have excellent written and oral communications skills, and will have a passion for creating radical, face-melting content. Previous journalistic, public relations or marketing experience, as well as a familiarity with Sugarloaf, is preferred but not required. Candidates should be prepared to provide writing samples or clips of published work that will knock our socks off. Candidates must be able to comfortably ski or ride anywhere on the mountain, including expert-level terrain.
Set-up and operate snowmaking equipment, hydrants and prepare fixed gears for making snow all over the mountain. Rearrange snowmaking lines and blowing equipment, assist other departments with snow removal. Must work as part of a team and have a clear understanding of safety rules, requirements and expectations. Applicants must be willing to work at night in cold temperatures and be able to hike steep terrain in varying weather conditions.
Competition and Event CrewFull Time Seasonal, This position requires the setup and tear down of all alpine, snowboard and freestyle events. Being able to ski or ride in all conditions on all trails is a must. You will be required to ski or ride carrying 25-35 lbs of equipment down trails to event sites. You will be on snow outside all day.
Zip Line Guide
Part Time Seasonal
Guide groups through the zip line course. Candidate must be able to do some hiking to and around course area. Guides will also do daily safety checks of lines and basic maintenance. Candidates must be 18 year olds, and willing to work on the weekends.
