Burnt Mountain

Burnt Mountain is Sugarloaf's newest experience, offering adventurous skiers and snowboarders backcountry-style access to a second mountain peak and the brand new Androscoggin glade, containing more than 1200 vertical feet and 68 acres of powder-filled wilderness.

The Burnt Mountain experience is unlike any other inbounds skiing experience in the East, and it is not for everyone. The trek to the summit requires a level of physical fitness and preparation that is different from typical resort skiing. You will encounter numerous challenges and obstacles, and if you become lost or injured, rescue will likely be more than an hour away.

Before you embark on your Burnt Mountain experience, we recommend you familiarize yourself with the following tips, and take a moment to view the safety video at the top of this page.
