RACE LANE BOOKING
As the proud home of Carrabassett Valley Academy, Sugarloaf's racing culture runs deep. With New England’s premier ski and snowboard training venue, cutting-edge snowmaking, expanded hill space, and a dedicated high-speed surface lift, we offer the perfect environment for athletes across all disciplines to train at peak performance.
Our diverse terrain provides an optimal training ground, with ample freeskiing space and the expanded Beth Kubik Training Venue—thanks to The Podium Project—featuring up to four GS courses and seven slaloms. The CVA/Colby T-bar, opened in December 2022, operates in almost any weather and offers access to even more GS courses on the adjacent Narrow Gauge trail, maximizing every training opportunity.

The Podium Project
Launched in 2022, the Podium Project is a collaborative initiative to enhance the two premier training venues here on Sugarloaf: Narrow Gauge and Competition Hill. These upgrades include state-of-the-art snowmaking, expanded hill space, and a dedicated high-speed surface lift. This project is supported by Carrabassett Valley Academy, Sugarloaf Mountain, the Sugarloaf Ski Club, Colby College, and the University of Maine at Farmington.
The CVA/Colby T-bar, now named the Beth Kubik Training Venue, serves as a key facility for elite training and competition.
