The Sugarloaf Outdoor Center is the largest Nordic Center maintained for both classic and skate skiing, offering some of the most unique and spectacular views of Sugarloaf.

Sugarloaf may be best known for its downhill skiing and riding, but tucked away in the woods just minutes from the base area is Maine’s largest Nordic center. The Outdoor Center is home to a full Nordic retail shop, rental center, and the Bull Moose Café, all surrounded by the most picturesque trails in New England. 

 

Trails are open 8:00am-5:00pm; after hours skiing or snowshoeing is prohibited for your safety to allow for overnight grooming.

    Exchange your 1-day winter lift ticket and gain free access to the Outdoor Center trails and skating rink for the day. Access more winter sports with free equipment rentals through our Alpine Exchange Program. 

    How it works? Simply provide proof of purchase of your same-day lift ticket before lifts stop for the day. Perfect for wind hold days or when your legs are craving a more mellow activity. Valid for activities from 9am-5pm.

    Nordic Season Passes

    Gain unlimited access to Maine’s largest Nordic center. Includes cross-country, fat biking, skating rink, and snowshoe trail access. Carrabassett Valley taxpayers get 15% off all season passes with exception of New England Pass add-on.
