Enjoy the UpCountry Artists Sugarloaf Art Show in the King Pine Room, pumpkin carving, axe throwing, rock climbing, live music and more! visit our favorite restaurants and shops and lots fun-filled of activities throughout the weekend.

    9am-4pm Sugarloafer Shop, Downhill Supply and Sugarloaf Board Room retail outlets open featuring new winter gear and apparel and incredible deals! Be sure to swing in and say hi.  
    10am-4pm Sugarloaf Cap Co. and Amos & Friends open.  Be sure to swing in and say hi!

    9am-2pm Scenic Lift Rides Whiffletree Quad Purchase tickets here. 24/25 Season passholders ride for free with their pass present.

    11am-6pm Food & Drinks The Widowmaker The illustrious Widowmaker will come out of seasonal hibernation on Saturday. Come say hello! 
    12-2pm Live music by Alex Jordan Band The Widowmaker  Join us inside for live music; free admission, all ages welcome 
    12-4pm EVO Rock Climbing Wall The Landing EVO Rock + Fitness has a 24' mobile rock climbing wall that can accommodate three climbers at once. This activity may be on hold due to wind. 
    1-4pm Axe Throwing The Landing  Unleash your inner warrior and practice your bullseye precision with axe throwing on the Landing.  
    3pm CANCELLED: Strider Bike Race Main Street Due to the weather, today's strider race has been cancelled. 
    3pm-5pm Live music by Pressing Strings The Widowmaker Live music continues inside; free admission, all ages welcome. 
    3-6pm Live music by Robin Cottle Widowmaker Join us inside for live music at the Widowmaker; free admission, all ages welcome.

    10am Kids Uphill Challenge The Beach The Kids Challenge will take kiddos of all ages on an obstacle course around the Perfect Turn building! All proceeds from this event will benefit the Western Maine Center for Children, our local non-profit that provides affordable and quality childcare to local working families. Register here. 
    10am-2pm Uphill Climb Starts at SuperQuad Registration for Maine's toughest mountain run is now open. Sign up here. 
    10am-4pm Retail Outlets L.L.Bean, Sugarloaf Cap Co. and Amos & Friends open.  Be sure to swing in and say hi!
    10am-4pm Bar & Grill The Beach Serving food and beverages outside rain or shine. 
    11-11:45am Burnurwurbskek Singers The Beach  Comprised of men representing many of Maine’s Wabanaki people (including the Penobscot, Passamaquoddy, Maliseet and Mic Mac tribes), the members of the Burnurwurbskek Singers will be playing live on the Beach. They perform traditional northeast woodland songs that date back to time immemorial, as well as more contemporary, intertribal songs. All ages welcome! 
    11am-3pm EVO Rock Climbing Wall The Landing EVO Rock + Fitness has a 24' mobile rock climbing wall that can accommodate three climbers at once.
    12-3pm Live music by Silver Heels The Beach  Join us inside for live music at The Beach; free admission, all ages welcome 
    1-3pm Axe Throwing The Landing  Unleash your inner warrior and practice your bullseye precision with axe throwing on the Landing. More details coming soon.  
    1-3pm Crafts w/ Amos Chapel  Come have fun painting Amos & Forest Friends. The Sugarloaf Christian Ministry is hosting a crafts and story reading event, free for all ages. Learn more here.

Activities

Scenic Chairlift Rides

Scenic chairlift rides will be running during Homecoming Weekend, from 9am-2pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Lift ride tickets are $20 per person if purchased online in advance, or $25 per person if purchased at the ticket window. Tickets purchased online can be picked up at any Online Express Kiosk, or at the ticket window. 100% of proceeds from scenic lift ride tickets will be donated to the Sugarloaf Region Charitable Trust.

Guests who have a 2024/25 season pass can ride the lift for free, but must have their physical pass with them. For more information, please see our Scenic Lift Ride page

Pumpkin Decorating

Another Homecoming Weekend favorite,  pumpkin decorating, will be held for Loafers ages 12 & under in the Alfond Competition Center on Saturday, October 12th from 9am-12pm. Similar to last year, participants will need to register online here. Paint, brushes, markers and pumpkins will be provided.

The illustrious Widowmaker will come out of seasonal hibernation on Saturday 11am- 6pm. 

You can also plan to fuel all Homecoming Weekend activities with sustenance and spirits from the Beach Bar & Grille, 45 North, Strokes Bar & Grille, and various nearby restaurants.
